Position Overview:
The Teller contributes to the success of a Retail Banking Center by ensuring banker-readiness, processing transactions accurately, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining operational discipline. The role involves occasional evening and Saturday hours and may require working at different banking center locations based on staffing needs.
Responsibilities:
Customer Experience:
- Introduce and refer customers to the platform during routine interactions
- Provide exceptional service, resolve problems, handle customer requests, and complete necessary documentation
- Complete Comerica's Teller Training Program
- Follow policies, regulations, and security procedures
- Document and reconcile transactions accurately
- Maintain customer confidentiality and resolve complaints effectively
Marketing Activities:
- Complete daily planning activities
- Act as a digital ambassador to promote digital solutions
- Introduce customers to products/services and follow up as needed
Operational Risk:
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete required training and adhere to risk assessment standards
- Control and mitigate losses through compliance
Partnership:
- Enhance collaboration within the Banking Center
- Identify opportunities to add value for customers through partnerships
Qualifications:
- 6 months of retail or financial sales experience, or 2 years of U.S. Military service, or 1 year of college
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Experience with personal computers, data entry, or internet search
- Preferred: Cash handling experience and proficiency with computer systems
