Job summary

Beyond Support Network in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Teaching Artist/Direct Support Professional (DSP) for two part-time openings in a museum-like studio setting. The role offers hourly pay of $20.00 with shift options on Mon/Thu/Fri or Thu/Fri.

You will collaborate with Starlight artists to support artistic, technical, personal, and community engagement goals through inclusive arts programming and individualized support, with responsibilities in activity planning and workshop facilitation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Fine Arts or equivalent; experience in teaching art and exhibiting artist preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and common software related to your medium - including electronic records, email, word processing, photo editing, and social media tools.
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and three years’ experience in Arts, Education and/or Human Services, with experience in exhibiting art.

Responsibilities

• Support artistic and community engagement goals through inclusive arts programming and individualized support.
• Facilitate artmaking activities, foster creative skill development, support wellness and community participation, and maintain an artist-centered studio environment.
• Activity planning, workshop facilitation, community engagement, and support for program operations and documentation.
