Job summary

Louis M. Martini Winery is seeking a Part Time Tasting Room Representative to welcome guests and present wines with enthusiasm. You will assist with daily tasting room duties, process purchases, stock merchandise, and help with events while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, wine knowledge, and comfort with POS systems. Weekend availability and a friendly, professional demeanor are required.

Qualifications

A Taste of What You’ll Do

Join our Tasting Room team and help create a welcoming, informative experience that brings our brand to life. As a part-time Tasting Room Representative, you’ll connect with guests through thoughtful service, engaging product presentations, and knowledgeable conversations about our wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, and vintages.

You’ll support daily tasting room operations by preparing the space for opening and closing, processing purchases and orders, stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory, and assisting with hospitality events. You’ll also help ensure our tasting room remains clean, organized, and ready to welcome every guest.

In this role, you’ll represent the company and brand professionally, graciously, and enthusiastically. You’ll work collaboratively in a detail-focused environment, balance multiple priorities, follow applicable service and shipping regulations, and contribute to the financial goals and high standards of the visitor center.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
• Required to be 21 years of age or older.
• Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
• Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
• Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You’ll Stand Out

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
• Skilled in communication, presentation, sales and customer service; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; and applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Knowledge of basic computer operation, wine and wine production, and federal and state legal compliance related to tasting room operations.
• Experience executing detail-oriented tasks accurately, organizing work and using initiative, and operating a cash register.

The Fine Print

• The Company does not sponsor for employment-based visas for this position now or in the future.
• We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
• This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on‑site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
