Job summary

YMCA of South Florida is seeking a part-time Swim Team Coach - Non-Certified to supervise and coach the Pines Aquatic Center team. You will lead practices, analyze strokes, and help recruit participants while ensuring safety and alignment with YMCA policies.

Responsibilities include planning workouts, teaching techniques, coordinating with the Aquatics Director, and promoting the program to members and guests.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership capable of coaching and disciplining athletes
• Ability to ensure safe, high-quality aquatic programs
• Proficient with basic office software and communications
• Able to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication with staff, parents, and participants
• Coaching knowledge including stroke analysis and motivation techniques

Responsibilities

• Supervise swim practices for the team and other groups as needed
• Plan and supervise workouts; teach stroke analysis and technique
• Assist in implementing new competitive programs and recruit participants
• Promote the swim team and communicate with parents and other coaches
• Contribute to feeder program development and recruitment strategy
• Attend meets and assist with special events related to the team
• Facilitate private lessons only through YMCA systems
