Job summary

The Swift Creek Family YMCA (Hampton Park) is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. Candidates with open availability are encouraged to apply as shifts vary.

Applicants should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills, and will teach swimming skills, water safety, and YMCA core values to small groups of students. Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are required; Lifeguard or YMCA certifications are preferred

Qualifications

• Must have CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Certifications such as Lifeguard, YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor (WSI) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons for program participants at the pool.
• Teach swimming skills and basic water safety to small groups.
• Incorporate YMCA core values into instruction and interactions.
• Maintain positive, energetic teaching environment across shifts.
