Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a part-time lifeguard for the Swift Creek Family YMCA (Hampton Park) to help ensure the safety of swimmers and program participants. We welcome certified lifeguards or swimmers who want to become lifeguards, and we will provide certification if you qualify.

Candidates with open availability are preferred. The role requires you to be at least 15 years old, possess CPR, AED and First Aid certification (ARC or Ellis Lifeguard accepted).

Qualifications

• CPR, AED and First Aid certification required; lifeguard certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
• Must be at least 15 years old and able to work with pool patrons.
• Y will train candidates who meet basic swimming requirements if not certified yet.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of pool patrons and participants.
• Enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Assist in monitoring activities and provide rescue when necessary.
