Job summary

YMCA of Greater Toledo is seeking a Part-Time Swim Instructor to teach life-saving swimming skills from infants to adults. The role is onsite with a friendly team and a fun, active environment that values safety, encouragement, and community involvement.

You’ll coach learners, model proper stroke technique, and reinforce water safety. Required certifications include Lifeguarding or YASA, CPR/AED, and First Aid; additional teaching certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard or water-safety certifications required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED training required.
• Certifications in Teach swim lessons preferred.
• Experience with children of all ages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to participants of all ages.
• Maintain pool safety and supervise swimmers.
• Model and reinforce water safety practices.
• Provide positive, energetic instruction in a fun environment.
