Job summary

The Green Hills YMCA is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor. You will lead in-water classes, ensuring safety and progression for participants while applying structured lesson plans. A focus on fun and learning helps all ages build confidence in the water, supported by a positive Y experience.

Responsibilities include teaching proper techniques, giving feedback to swimmers and parents, and keeping equipment organized across shifts. Certifications are preferred; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications preferred (we can help you get there!).
• A positive attitude, great communication skills, and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim classes from in the water, ensuring safety, fun, and progression for all participants.
• Teach proper swimming techniques and provide feedback to swimmers and parents.
• Keep equipment organized and contribute to a positive YMCA experience for every member.
