Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Swim Instructor I & II for the Burbank YMCA, offering part-time, non-exempt hourly work. You will teach swim lessons to children, work under the Aquatics Director, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Required certifications include CPR/First Aid/O2, and YMCA YSL preferred. Shifts include late summer/fall 3:00pm–7:00pm with responsibilities spanning lesson planning, progress reporting, and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching swim lessons to children.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations.
• Report to deck 15 minutes before shift.
• Prepare and store equipment for classes and use pool space effectively.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.
• Minimize absenteeism and commit to entire session.
