Job summary

Chicago Blue Dolphins is seeking a part-time swim instructor in Chicago, IL. You will teach water safety, build swimming skills, and foster confidence in participants of all ages. The role blends pool time with office tasks and customer service to support a great learning environment.

Shifts are afternoons, evenings and weekends, totaling 15-25 hours weekly. You must be reliable, punctual, and coachable, with a passion for teaching and safety.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate for children and adults.
• Able to work in water for up to 5 hours.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude and coachable.
• Basic swimming competency in all four strokes.
• Able to commit to at least 1 year; afternoons and weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure everyone is safe.
• Teach swimming and show love and respect to students.
• Be a dependable team member.
• Complete required training and continually learn.
• Follow curriculum with focus on each student’s needs and comfort.
• Smile and have fun during your shift.
• Provide administrative and reception support in the office.
• Provide deck management and cleaning support.
