Job summary

Rosemead Rapids in Rosemead, CA, is seeking a part-time assistant swim coach to support development groups for swimmers ages 10 and under. The role involves on-deck practice, some administrative tasks, and meet sessions under the Head Coach and coaching staff.

Ideal candidates will bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and a passion for teaching technique and athletic development. Certifications are encouraged and the club will assist in completing them as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; certifications encouraged or in progress.
• Experience on a competitive swim team or coaching youth swimmers.
• CPR, AED, First Aid, Lifeguarding and USA Swimming coach certifications preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Motivate swimmers to perform at their best and sustain long-term development.
• Help develop, implement and oversee a seasonal training plan for development groups.
• Assist swimmers in setting and achieving personal goals.
• Develop leadership and work ethic among swimmers.
• Maintain regular communication with swimmers, parents, other coaches, and the Head Coach.
• Collaborate with staff to manage club operations and long-term growth.
• Remain flexible to handle additional duties as needed.
