Job summary

City of Orlando Careers is seeking a part-time coordinator to support urban farming, composting, food rescue, and hydroponic operations in downtown Orlando. You will lead volunteers in food gleaning, assist farming operations at the two Urban Farms, and operate a hydroponic unit to grow fresh produce.

Minimum qualifications include an undergraduate degree (or in progress with 60+ credits) in a relevant field, excellent communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (or in progress) in Agriculture, Communications, Marketing, Environmental Science, Public Administration, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfort with regular email correspondence and occasional phone support.
• Proficient in basic computer and web applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead volunteers in food gleaning operations.
