Job summary

Mid-Ohio Food Collective seeks a Greenhouse Coordinator to oversee hydroponic systems and controlled environments, ensuring year-round yields and high food safety standards.

You will manage planting, harvesting, pest management, and nutrient practices while leading community workshops and coordinating volunteers to support the mission of improving access to fresh produce in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in greenhouse or controlled environment agriculture.
• Solid understanding of hydroponic systems and nutrient management.
• Experience with IoT monitoring systems and environmental controls.
• Strong communication and workshop-leading abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of hydroponic systems and controlled environments.
• Manage crop production: seeding, transplanting, pest management, harvest planning.
• Monitor pH, environmental controls and irrigation; apply data-driven decisions.
• Lead educational workshops for diverse community groups.
• Support volunteers and interns; collaborate with teams to improve efficiency.
