Job summary

Ethos is expanding its expert network and seeks an experienced head of sustainability to help train a language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. This is a fully remote engagement with flexible hours.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in ecological research, environmental consulting, or applied biology and can create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated outputs across workflows such as environmental impact reports, biodiversity surveys, water and soil data, and

Qualifications

4+ years conducting environmental impact assessments, ecological surveys, or regulatory compliance monitoring in a consulting, government, or academic setting.
Direct experience interpreting field and lab data such as species counts, water and soil chemistry, or emissions readings and translating it into technical reports for regulators or clients.
Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core environmental workflows.
Support training of the language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
Maintain high-quality technical reporting for regulators or clients.
