Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist/Surgical Assistant to support surgeons during operations and provide pre- and post-operative patient care.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, maintaining sterile technique, circulating under RN supervision, assisting anesthesia intraoperatively, and preparing specimens. The part-time, 20-hour/week role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Strong understanding of surgical technology and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and high standards of safety.
• Circulate under RN supervision and assist anesthesia intraoperatively.
• Prepare and label specimens accurately.
• Communicate with the team and document patient information clearly.
