Job summary

Coast Plaza Doctors Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technician for a part-time role in California. You will assist the operating room team, set up and maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and support the surgeon and staff throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, holds AHA BLS, and is able to work three shifts per week including weekends. You will contribute to patient safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and patient safety emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Passes instruments, sponges, and sutures to the surgeon and maintains sterile field.
• Performs the surgical scrub and assists with gowning and gloving.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists with patient prep and positioning.
• Assists with instrument counts, specimens handling, and room turnover.
