Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in West Virginia is seeking a part-time Certified Surgical Tech to join our operating room team.

Under the supervision of a Staff Nurse or designee, you will scrub or circulate for most surgeries and assist the surgeon and anesthetist within the limits of a technician's training. Responsibilities include preparing supplies, maintaining instrument sterility, and performing basic housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with organized OR instruction.
• Certification within 1 year of completing the instructional course.
• AST or NCCT certification required for employment.
• Previous Operating Room experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Scrub or circulate for most types of surgery in the OR.
• Assist surgeon and anesthetist within technician scope.
• Assist with housekeeping and preparation of supplies and instrumentation.
