Job summary

McLennan Community College seeks an instructor to provide didactic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for the Surgical Technology program.

The role includes planning, supervising, and evaluating student learning, ensuring timely progress assessments, and collaborating across departments. The position requires travel to clinical facilities and flexibility to teach as needed, with an expectation to not exceed 19.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum two years of work experience in an operating room scrub role or as a Surgical Technology Instructor.
• Current credential in Surgical Technology through an NCCA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to students.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate student learning and skills development.
• Maintain office hours and support extracurricular activities across departments.
• Travel to clinical facilities and teach as needed.
