Job summary

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a part-time adjunct Surgical Technology instructor to conduct weekly clinical site visits in the Grafton area and supervise students in daytime hours. The role requires an associate degree in Surgical Technology, current national certification, and 2+ years of related work experience within the last five years.

Responsibilities include preparing courses, maintaining FERPA records, grading, and supporting student growth while traveling to clinical sites

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience in an operating room scrub role or as a surgical technology instructor within the past five years.
• Credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the NCCA.
• Licensing and/or involvement with a professional organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and facilitate learning in assigned courses.
• Create a professional and safe learning environment; model workplace skills.
• Meet student learning needs using diverse teaching methods and assessments.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain FERPA-compliant records; submit grades on time.
• Participate in curriculum development and revision as needed.
• Assist with student recruitment and promote College programs and services.
• Foster student retention and success and maintain external relationships.
