Job summary

AdventHealth Lenexa is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures. You will prepare sterile instruments, assist surgeons, and maintain sterility throughout procedures. You will count supplies with the team and help prep for patient positioning.

The role requires knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization processes, and the ability to respond promptly to emergencies in the OR. Related certifications and at least two surgical specialties are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of validation skills and sterile technique knowledge.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and ability to anticipate emergencies on Specialty Call Team.
• Ability to organize, promote, and conduct in-services on unit per needs.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
