Job summary

Southwest Health is seeking a part-time RN (27 hours/week) to join the Same Day Surgery Department. Hours are 8:00am-5:30pm, three days per week, Monday through Friday.

The role provides nursing care under the Nurse Practice Act and medical staff supervision, aiming to maintain or improve patient well-being. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Wisconsin RN license and eligibility to practice in Wisconsin.
• Knowledge of Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and RN scope of practice.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with department equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the Nurse Practice Act, current laws/regulations and under medical staff direction.
• Follow the individualized plan of care to achieve the highest practicable level of physical and mental well-being for each patient.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, interventions and evaluation.
