OhioHealth is seeking a part-time Surgical Tech to assist the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, and instrument handling in the operating room. The role requires independence, critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have an AS in Surgical Technology, current BLS, CST certification, and at least 2 years of OR experience. A sign-on bonus is offered with a one-year commitment.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology required.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• CST certification required by NBSTSA.
• AS/ST or accredited First Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as Surg Tech in inpatient/OP.
• Preceptor BLS acceptable.
• Competent in 4–6 service lines including advanced orthopedics or neurosurgery.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the surgeon with exposure and hemostasis.
• Maintain dry operative field with suction and sponges.
• Provide wound exposure and assist with fascia, tissue and skin closure.
• Demonstrate safety, quality and efficiency in all duties.
• Identify emergencies and respond under supervision.
• Adapt to multiple service lines as needed.
