Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Pittsburgh, PA 15205 is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to manage inventory and support B2B operations through procurement, sourcing, and quoting for customer needs. The role is onsite and located at 621 Napor Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

The position offers up to 28 hours per week with a Monday–Friday daytime shift. Candidates should have a related degree or relevant customer service experience, plus strong math, computer, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements for use of a company vehicle
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR customer service/industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed, customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels
• Administer procurement: create purchase orders and manage backorders
• Estimate/quote prices and source products
• Coordinate resources to meet customer supply chain needs
• Support accounts receivable activities
• Make deliveries with company vehicle as needed
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success
