Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at our Reading, PA location. You will help manage branch inventory, assist with procurement, pricing quotes, and sourcing, and support customer supply chain needs as part of a dynamic team.

The role includes handling accounts receivable tasks, occasional deliveries with a company vehicle, and contributing to branch success. A customer-service mindset and strong math skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Proficient computer skills and general software literacy.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
