Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Easton, PA is seeking a part-time Customer Supply Chain Support to assist in day-to-day supply chain activities at the onsite customer facility.

This entry-level role focuses on building fundamentals in customer relationship management and operations, with potential for a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance milestones. You will engage in inventory management, order placement, receiving/shipping, and collaboration with internal teams to optimize service levels.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management OR equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs and up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources.
• Manage inventory within the customer facility.
• Place and fulfill orders.
• Receive and ship inventory.
• Execute inventory fulfillment tasks.
• Source and quote products for customers.
• Participate in continuous improvement and new processes.
• Monetize and report the value of supply chain activities to the customer.
