Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a part-time Customer Supply Chain Support in Newark, DE. You will support the customer’s supply chain, manage inventory, place and fulfill orders, and assist with receiving/shipping at the facility.

Onsite role with potential schedule flexibility after onboarding and training. Ideal candidates are 18+, pursuing a Supply Chain/Operations degree or with equivalent experience, and exhibit strong communication, math, and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in the US.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
• Lift, slide, carry 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs as needed).
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam) and background check.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and coordinate resources for customer requests.
• Manage inventory and place/fulfill orders.
• Receive and ship inventory; perform inventory fulfillment at the customer facility.
• Source and quote new and existing products.
• Participate in continuous improvement and new business processes.
• Monetize and report the value of supply chain activities to the customer.
