Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support to engage in activities that support the customer’s supply chain, improving onsite performance. This entry-level role offers onboarding, training, and a potential flexible schedule after performance goals are met.

The incumbent will handle inventory management, order placement, and coordination of resources within a customer facility, with opportunities to grow in a sales-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Be comfortable in a sales oriented environment.
• Adhere to company core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources.
• Manage inventory and place/fulfill orders.
• Receive and ship inventory and execute on-site fulfillment.
• Source and quote new and existing products.
• Participate in continuous improvement and new business processes.
• Monetize and report value of supply chain activities to the customer.
