Job summary

EXODUS Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to provide evidence-based treatment to clients in Baltimore. The role emphasizes treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and thorough documentation in the ICANotes EHR system.

The ideal candidate will hold a current Maryland addiction counseling credential or license and have clinical experience in substance use treatment.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland addiction counseling credential or license (e.g., ADT, CAC-AD, CADC, CSC) is required.
• Clinical experience in substance use treatment or related behavioral health setting is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and ICANotes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients’ substance use history and treatment needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
• Provide individual and group counseling services.
• Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed.
• Connect clients with additional specialists and community resources.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in ICANotes.
• Review treatment plans monthly and ensure documentation reflects services provided.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and collaborate with the clinical team.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable regulations.
