Job summary

Culver School District 4 is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver in Culver, Oregon. The role involves operating school buses and district vehicles to transport students safely to and from school and events, with duties including vehicle inspections and bus cleaning.

We welcome substitutes who are open to working in multiple departments and building substitutions. Applicants may hold, or be able to obtain, CPR/First Aid certification and a valid ODE Bus Driver Certification or CDL endorsement.

Qualifications

• Valid ODE Bus Driver Certification preferred, but not required (District can provide training).
• Valid Class B CDL with Endorsements preferred, but not required (Obtain through DMV).
• Previous bus driving experience preferred, but not required.
• Holds, or is able to obtain, CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Ability and desire to work with children.
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively.
• Propane fueling experience preferred, but not required.
• Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employee’s expense is Required once hired.

Responsibilities

• Operates school buses and/or other District vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities.
• Inspects the vehicle to insure safe operation and performs cleaning of buses as needed.
• Maintains safety and welfare of the students as a top priority, reports to Transportation Supervisor.
• Willing to substitute in multiple departments (Facilities, Custodial, Nutrition Services) and substitute in buildings as classroom assistants if applicable.
