Job summary

The Cumberland County School District is seeking a substitute kitchen team member to support daily kitchen operations, ensure food safety and quality, and deliver excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.

This part‑time, PRN position works about 5.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, following the school calendar. Benefits are limited, and employment is contingent on TBI/background checks, fingerprinting, and a drug screen.

• Must pass TBI background check, fingerprinting and drug screen.

• Provide kitchen services as assigned, ensure food safety and quality, and deliver customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Job description

The job of a substitute kitchen team member was established for the purposes of providing all aspects of kitchen services as assigned; ensuring food safety, food quality, and excellent customer service for students, staff, and visitors; and performing a variety of operations as assigned by the kitchen manager and/or assistant kitchen manager.

This is a part‑time position working approximately 5.5 hours per day Monday - Friday. This position can be very rewarding, but it has limited benefits. This a PRN position and only works with regular team members are absent.
