Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Language: Understand written procedures, speak clearly, and understand multi-step written and oral instructions.

• Other Skills: Team oriented and able to develop good working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Basic math including fractions, percentages and ratios.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and inspects school facilities and grounds for safety and cleanliness.
• Responds to safety/operational concerns and takes action.
• Performs semi-annual and annual cleaning and maintenance.
• Performs minor maintenance/repairs of furniture and equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable about asbestos locations and ensure no disturbance.
• Secures facilities and grounds to minimize damage and liability.
• Set up and break down for facility use.
• Notifies supervisor of supplies/equipment needs.
• Assists maintenance with snow removal and grounds work.
• Communicates professionally with staff and community.
• Uses safety equipment and adheres to safety practices.
