Job summary

Salt Lake City School District is hiring an Assessment & Testing Assistant (PT) to support administration and scoring of standardized tests for students in Salt Lake City, UT. The role reports to the Supervisor of Assessment & Evaluation and starts immediately with the anticipated start date in November 2026.

The position is part-time, non-contract, with a starting wage of $18.50 per hour. The schedule is hourly and may involve travel to district sites to conduct assessments and support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Per ESSA, must be Highly Qualified with one of: two years of college (48+ sem hours) or an associates degree or a PRAXIS/Parapro score 460+.
• Speak, read, write, and present professionally in English; analyze and interpret communications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and score tests using standardized methods.
• Schedule testing with site personnel per district requirements.
• Travel to district sites to conduct assessments.
• Work with non-English speaking students during testing.
• Maintain careful observations and document findings clearly.
