Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living has immediate openings for Student Servers. No experience is needed – we’ll train you! You’ll gain valuable hospitality and customer service experience while learning every aspect of dining room operations.

Flexible hours accommodate school and activities, with shifts starting at 4:45pm and ending around 8:45pm. We offer free meals during shifts, scholarship opportunities, and clear paths for advancement within the team.

Qualifications

• Current high school student, must be 16 years of age to apply.
• Serving experience preferred, but we will train.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Have good communication skills.
• State regulations may apply to the role.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Record and input beverage and food orders into the POS system, deliver meals and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Multi-task with urgency to meet service standards.
• Greet guests warmly and explain the day’s menu and specials.
• Describe menu items and make recommendations; ensure timely delivery of food.
• Assignments can include Serving, Busser, Runner, Meal Plater, Catering and Utility.

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living, a “Best Place to Work” award-winner, has immediate openings for Student Servers in our restaurants. No experience is needed – we’ll train you!

As a Student Server, you'll gain valuable hospitality and customer service experience while learning every aspect of the dining room operation. This role is designed to help you build professional skills, develop confidence, and grow within our team.

Flexible hours let you continue your high school sports and other activities while you earn solid pay and the opportunity for a generous college or trade school scholarship. Work with others your age and have fun!

What we offer

• Compensation: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Have weekday and weekend availability 3 shifts per week required.
• NO LATE NIGHTS --Shift starts at 4:45pm and typically ends by 8:45 pm.
• Free meals for dining servers during their shift.
• Scholarship opportunity for those who qualify. Earn money towards college or trade school.

How you will make an impact

• Servers are responsible for serving residents and guest meals in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• The server records and inputs into the POS system beverage and food orders, delivers and serves food, ensures exceptional guest service.
• This position requires the ability to multi task with a sense of urgency.
• Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically.
• Describe the day’s menu and specials, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Deliver food promptly and ensure that the guests are satisfied with their choices.
• Assignments can include Serving, Busser, Runner, Meal Plater, Catering and Utility.
