Indiana University seeks PASS Teaching Interns to assist with 100-level math classes at the Bloomington campus. Interns will help students prepare for exams through guided study sessions and collaborate with instructors.
The ideal candidates must be enrolled students who have completed specific math courses. The role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to supporting peers in their academic journeys. The position offers flexible hours at a pay rate of $15.00 per hour, starting in Fall 2026.
The Student Academic Center offers a variety of courses designed to promote students' academic success at the university. All carry credit from the School of Education that can be applied as electives in most degree programs.
Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Teaching Interns are tutors who help with difficult 100-level classes at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB). PASS is an embedded tutoring program where a student (the PASS Leader) who has successfully passed a difficult course, returns to the course as an assistant. PASS Teaching Interns will begin in Fall 2026.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
This is an in‑person position.
Location: Bloomington, Indiana
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Hours: 8 hours per week beginning Fall 2026. Hours are highly flexible.
