Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Part Time Student Proctor to support AES exam administration and student services in person on campus in Bloomington. You will assist with clerical tasks, scheduling, and accessibility services under the Office of Student Life.

Requirements include current enrollment at IU Bloomington and a minimum of 6 months as a student proctor. This role is ideal for detail-oriented team players who value reliability and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Serve as a Student Proctor for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accessibility and academic integrity of AES-exam administration, including logging details and maintaining security.
  • Invite students and campus partners to learn about AES via events and outreach.
  • Assist with phones, scanning, filing, emails, and scheduling appointments.
  • Provide sighted assistant services to students with vision impairments when available.
  • Deliver materials to other campus offices and perform cross training to scan documents.
  • Handle data entry tasks, set up appointments, and support the Intake coordinator.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Proctors provide a variety of services and support for students and staff in the Accessible Educational Services (AES) at IU Bloomington. In addition to overseeing exams and ensuring academic integrity, proctors have the potential to engage in outreach, clerical work, and may potentially act as a sighted assistant.

Department-Specific Responsibilities
  • Ensures the accessibility and academic integrity of AES-administrated exams through locker checks, station inspection and maintenance, and accurate logging of important exam details.
  • Invites students and campus partners to learn more about AES through events, multimedia projects, and communications.
  • Assists with answering phone calls, scanning and filing documents, answering emails, and scheduling appointments.
  • Sighted assistant work (when available) provides various accessibility services to students with vision impairments.
  • Delivers materials to other campus offices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Cross train to scan documents.
  • Accommodates data base, set up appointments, field walk in traffic, forward emails to staff, Backup to Intake coordinator.
EDUCATION
Required
  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University Bloomington
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
  • Serve as a Student Proctor for at least 6 months

$12.00 per hour

Average of 6-15 hours, flexible scheduling based on department needs

With gained experience additional hours may be available, but not to exceed 29 hours per week
