Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Student Nurse Technician who is actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) to gain hands-on experience on a 48-bed 6 Neuro unit. This part-time role supports Registered Nurses and helps deliver high-quality patient care during Day or Night shifts.

Candidates must have completed at least one Pharmacology course and two Medical Surgical Theory/Clinical courses, and be eligible for the Nebraska CNA and Medication Aide registries

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required.
• Successfully completed at least one Pharmacology course and two semesters of Medical Surgical Theory/Clinical courses required.
• Active on the Certified Nursing Assistant registry in Nebraska or capable within 30 days of hire.
• Active on the Medication Aide registry in Nebraska or capable within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire from an AHA-endorsed program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing high-quality patient care under RN supervision.
• Support on the 6 Neuro unit with interdisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to patient safety and documentation as directed.
