Applicants must be enrolled in an ADN or BSN program, have completed pharmacology and two med-surg courses, hold active CNA and Medication Aide registries in Nebraska, demonstrate strong communication, and obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required.
• Successfully completed at least one Pharmacology course and two semesters of Medical Surgical Theory/Clinical courses required.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Nights 12 hours per week on the Heart & Vascular Unit (7HVU).
• Assist in care delivery for cardiovascular patients including transplant and LVAD care as part of a fast-paced unit.
• Transition to Registered Nurse pathway upon state licensure, dependent on performance and role availability.
