Job summary

Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY is seeking a Part-Time Student Employee for Marketing, Web and Social Media. The role supports website updates, content formatting in the CMS, and social media projects, providing hands-on experience in a college digital marketing operation.

The position is eligible for Federal Work Study and/or departmental funds. Typical schedule is up to 10 hours per week, mostly Monday–Friday between 8:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., with pay at $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Communicate with your supervisor in advance regarding absences, schedule changes, or time-off requests.
• Maintain good standing with MCC's academic and student conduct policies.
• Be currently enrolled and actively attending classes at MCC.
• Federal Work Study eligibility is required for FWS-funded positions.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain content on the MCC website.
• Review webpages for accuracy, outdated information, and broken links.
• Assist with website QA/testing on desktop and mobile.
• Format and enter content into the College's CMS.
• Organize website content and digital assets.
• Support social media projects and gather marketing materials.
• Ensure accessibility and adherence to MCC web standards.
• Assist with broader web and digital marketing projects as needed.
