Part-Time Student – Cab Engineering

Location: United States (US) – Iowa – Dubuque. Onsite position. Relocation assistance is not provided. Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Overview

As a Part‑Time Student – Cab Engineering for John Deere Dubuque Works, you will support current assembly operations, troubleshoot basic issues, and work with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and basic troubleshooting for current assembly operations.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Participate in developmental assignments to gain manufacturing experience.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree related to mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing technology; others may apply.
  • Must be registered as a full‑time student at a local U.S. accredited college/university.
  • Graduation date of May 2027 or later.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
  • Available to work 16–20 hours during the academic year.
  • Available to work 30–40 hours during the summer semester.
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Dubuque, IA on a regular basis.

$15-$40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
