Job summary

John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking a Part-Time Student in Cab Engineering in Dubuque, IA. You will support assembly operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.

The program is designed for students balancing school, with 16–20 hours during the academic year and 30–40 hours in the summer. Relocation is not required, and onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree related to mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing technology; others may apply.
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local U.S. accredited college/university
  • Graduation date of May 2027 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 16-20 hours during the academic year
  • Available to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Dubuque, IA on a regular basis

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Student - Cab Engineering for John Deere Dubuque Works , located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will

  • Provide support and basic troubleshooting for current assembly operations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Participate in developmental assignments to gain Manufacturing experience.

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
