Greeley-Evans School District 6 is seeking a Student AVID Tutor to support middle and high school students within the AVID program. Tutors work under the supervision of a certified teacher in regular school day blocks, guiding students through questioning, writing, thinking, and discussion to foster learning.

Tutors must be junior or senior in District 6 high schools, be at least 16, and complete AVID Tutor Training.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in higher ed (e.g., college or university).
• Organized and able to manage multiple students.

Responsibilities

• Tutor in AVID program, guiding students through inquiry, writing, thinking and discussion.
• Work with a certified teacher in a classroom during the school day.
• May work a minimum of one hour per week or more based on open/off blocks.
