Job summary

Brigham Young University—BYU Law School is seeking a part-time Student Affairs Administrative Assistant (17.5 hours/week) in Provo, UT. The role supports the Dean and Student Affairs team, coordinates calendars, manages the pro bono program, and assists with exams, events, and student services.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of administrative experience, strong customer service, and attention to detail; preferred is a Bachelor's degree and one year of related legal experience.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of administrative, assistant, or professional experience.
  • Professional customer service and communication with students, faculty, alumni, visitors, and external partners.
  • Administrative organization, prioritization, scheduling, calendar coordination, and office operations.
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive matters; ability to coordinate travel, events, examinations, and multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary receptionist, greet visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to Student Affairs staff and the Dean.
  • Maintain and coordinate the Dean's calendar and travel logistics.
  • Maintain the student pro bono database and track service hours.
  • Assist with law school examinations and student programs/services.
  • Assist with Student Affairs events and special projects.
