Job summary

The Village of Tinley Park is seeking a Part-time Maintenance worker in the Streets & Fleet Division of the Public Works Department. The role performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor, maintains equipment, and supports fleet operations to keep town services running smoothly.

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and availability for a 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement preferred.
• Availability for standard business day with some evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment and vehicles to complete tasks.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform inventory, stock parts room, and general clean‑up as assigned.
• Light maintenance on Village vehicles (e.g., tires, fluids) and assist Head Mechanic as needed.
