Job summary

City of Brenham, TX is seeking a part-time maintenance worker to assist the Street Department with daily upkeep of streets, drainage systems and vegetation control. Qualifications

• No formal education requirement.
• Must have valid Texas driver's license.
• Must be at least 17 years old to handle small equipment; at least 18 years old to operate larger equipment or City of Brenham business vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performs general labor as assigned in the maintenance of streets, drainage systems and vegetation management.
• Operates small equipment such as weed-eaters, crack sealer and other equipment used in the maintenance of streets, drainage facilities and vegetation management.
• Performs work with manual tools to paint curbs, medians, and other areas in need of routine maintenance; and
• Assists with general roadway maintenance when needed.
