Job summary

City of Brenham is seeking a part-time grounds maintenance worker to assist with daily upkeep of parks and athletic facilities. The role pays $12.00 per hour and is 20 hours or less per week, with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing fields for public use, operating lawn equipment, repairing sports equipment, assisting other departments, and weekend park cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• No education requirement.
• Valid Texas driver's license required.
• Must be at least 17 years of age to handle small equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate larger equipment or operate a motor vehicle for City of Brenham business.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prepares parks and athletic fields for public use.
• Operates lawn equipment.
• Repairs and replaces vital facility sports equipment, including nets, batting cages, and wind screens.
• Assists other city departments as needed.
• Maintains and cleans park grounds on a weekend basis such as cleaning public restrooms and removing litter.
