Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; retail experience preferred.
• Two years of sorting, receiving, storing, loading and unloading materials.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with donating, selecting and purchasing items.
• Operate and balance the cash register; handle receipts and cash drawer.
• Answer questions and provide directions to customers.
• Keep store displays and warehouse area clean and orderly.
• Assist with loading, unloading and sorting donations.
• Move donations to the warehouse and help setup/cleanup.
• Monitor warehouse entrances to deter theft.
• Inspect donated items for policy compliance.
• Prepare donation receipts for customers.
• Maintain good donor relations to promote The Salvation Army.
