Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Flint location. You will assist with daily tasks, organize merchandise, and help supervise staff to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, strong communication, and adherence to company policies while delivering friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
