Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager in DeKalb, IL to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, stockroom transfers, and maintaining seasonal areas while upholding store policies and a positive work environment.

This part-time role requires lifting up to 55 lbs, strong communication, and the ability to lead and train Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/readable directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions
• Assist in stocking and merchandising, and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, inventory, and cash handling
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of store including bathrooms, floors, and stockroom
• Other duties as assigned
