Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Kansas City, MO to support store operations and customer service while developing the team. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and ensure standards are met, including safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Requires read/interpretation of directives and procedures.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Must work well in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support inventory control, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling tasks.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and presentable sales floor and stockroom.
• Ensure safety and security of assets and compliance with policies.
• Assist Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
