Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Detroit, MI is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to turn donated items into organized stock and prepare them for sale. You will sort, tag, price merchandise, track production numbers, and move processed goods to the sales floor, helping the team meet daily goals while delivering reliable service.

Paid training on store procedures and ongoing coaching are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Basic communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Pay:$13.73 - $15.73 per hour
Job Type:Part-time
Schedule: 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise

• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correctdepartments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
